CHARLOTTE, N.C. (January 17, 2024) – Super League Carolina, the Carolinas’ newest women’s professional soccer team, today announced Olivia Haraldsson as the first member of Head Coach Philip Poole’s technical staff. Haraldsson will assume the role of Coordinator of Equipment Management & Training Operations.
“I am really looking forward to working alongside Olivia,” Poole commented. “She was amazing during the hiring process, and is someone that everyone within the organization is excited to have on board.”
The Charlotte native will remain in the city she has served through soccer all her life. Most recently, Haraldsson was a Charlotte Independence Youth Academy Coach, teaching kids ages 6 to 8 years old the fundamentals of soccer.
During the 2023 USL League One season, Haraldsson assisted the Charlotte Independence technical staff as a Team Operations Intern. In this role, Haraldsson was responsible for equipment distribution, locker room maintenance, and game day setup around American Legion Memorial Stadium.
Haraldsson has demonstrated a strong work ethic, always looking for opportunities to grow as a sports professional. In October 2023, she served as a Media Operations Volunteer for the MexTour at Bank of America Stadium when Mexico faced Ghana. Haraldsson was also a Media Operations Volunteer for the CONCACAF Gold Cup at Bank of America Stadium in July 2023.
A recent graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Haraldsson earned a Bachelor of Communications Studies in May 2023.
“I’m super excited to join Super League Carolina for the inaugural season,” Haraldsson shared. “Bringing women’s professional soccer here to Charlotte is something that will be exhilarating for the city to witness, and I can’t wait for the season to start!”
